Ahrefs

Ahrefs' official MCP server connects agents to live SEO and AEO data — keyword research, competitor traffic analysis, backlink audits, and content gap analysis. The endpoint is https://api.ahrefs.com/mcp/mcp over HTTP.

Setting up

1. In Willow, go to MCP Servers → + Add MCP server and find the Ahrefs card with the Official badge.

2. Click + Use and choose your authentication method:

   • OAuth (recommended): Click through the Ahrefs authorization screen. Willow registers itself automatically using dynamic client registration — no app or client ID to create beforehand.
   • API key: Generate an MCP-scoped API key in Ahrefs under Account settings → API keys, then paste it into Willow.

Ahrefs MCP is only available on paid plans (Lite and above). Your plan tier determines the maximum rows per request and monthly API units available. See Ahrefs pricing for details.
