Willow Admin

Delivers the notification to each recipient's own Willow inbox, marked with a dot on the header icon until they acknowledge it.

This is the one channel that always works — no server configuration, no destination, nothing to install. It's the sensible default for a first rule.

How it differs from the alert history

The Alerts page already records every event organization-wide, whether or not any rule exists. The Willow Admin channel is different: it creates a copy addressed to a specific person, which is what makes it show on their bell and appear under Show → Addressed to me.

So a rule with only the Willow Admin channel doesn't change what is recorded — it changes whose attention it lands in.

Using it

Turn on Willow Admin for a rule delivery. The delivery's audience decides who gets the copy; no destination is needed.

Which inbox the notification appears in depends on the event: actionable items land in the Notifications bell, everything else on the Alerts page. See which inbox an event lands in.

Personal mutes

People can mute this channel from their own profile if an admin has allowed personal preferences. Muting it suppresses the personally-addressed copy; the org-wide alert history is unaffected.
