Access and Settings

Open the assistant's page and scroll to Settings: how the assistant gets in, how long it stays in, and how it asks you.

Approvals

Shows where requests reach you: your phone, if you connected one, and always your email. Click Edit for How you approve:

  1. Connect your phone: scan the QR code with your phone's camera and sign in. The phone walks you through the rest.
  2. Notifications on this computer (optional): turn them on in this browser.
  3. Approve with a tap: when the assistant needs a session or asks about a tool call, your phone rings and the assistant sends you a short link. Open either, signed in to Willow, and tap Approve.

See Approve requests.

Password (Instinct)

Shows when the password was set and when it expires. Click Reset:

  • Make a new password: Willow makes one and shows it once. Give it to Instinct through its vault link.
  • Use my own: at least 12 characters.

The current password stops working right away and Instinct is signed out. It can't use any tool until you give it the new one.

Sign-in (Muse, Grok Bot and Dots)

These assistants connect with your Willow sign-in, with no password to keep. Click Sign out to end every connection at once. The assistant has to connect again, and you allow it in Willow.

Access

Shows how long access and a session last. Click Edit:

SettingOptions
Access expires after (Password expires after for Instinct)1 day, 7 days, 30 days (default), 90 days or Never. Counted from when you gave access, or when the password was set. Then the assistant has to connect again.
A session lasts5, 15 or 30 minutes (default), 1 hour or 4 hours. From when you approve it; using it doesn't make it last longer.

Shorter is safer: access of 30 days or less and sessions of 30 minutes or less keep the safety score up.

The same dialog has:

  • Link (Instinct) or Server URL (the others). New link or New URL stops the old one at once. Instinct keeps its password; the others have to add the new URL and connect again.
  • Stop access: signs the assistant out at once and ends any session. The link or URL, logs and requests stay.
  • Give access again, once access is stopped. For Instinct, Willow makes a new password; the others connect again.

When access expired or was stopped, the access card at the top of the page says so. Click Reconnect to give access again.

Delete the agent

Under Delete agent, click Delete. It removes the agent and disconnects the assistant right away, freeing its spot so you can connect it again later with a new agent. This can't be undone.

The dialog gives you a message to tell the assistant to forget Willow too:

AssistantWhat to tell it
Instinct"Please stop using my Willow tools page. Forget its link, and delete the Willow password from your vault."
Muse, Grok Bot"Please disconnect the Willow remote MCP server and remove it from your connections."
DotsNo message: in Dots, go to Plugins, open Willow and remove it.

Pause instead

To stop the assistant for a while without losing anything, click Pause in the page header. Click Go live to turn it back on.
