Grok Bot
Grok Bot connects to your apps as a remote MCP server. There's no password or header to copy: Grok Bot connects with OAuth, when you sign in to Willow and allow it. Everything runs as you, through Willow's gateway.
Connect Grok Bot
In the setup (click New agent, then pick Grok Bot), step 4 walks you through it.
- Send Grok Bot this message. Click Copy message and paste it in your chat with Grok Bot. It has the MCP server URL.
- Allow Grok Bot in Willow. Grok Bot opens Willow so you sign in and click Allow. This moves on by itself once it's connected.
- Ask Grok Bot for something. Try one of the prompts the setup suggests. If Grok Bot needs your OK, the request shows up right on the page.
The message reads like this, with your own server URL:
Hi Grok Bot, please connect to Scout by Willow, this MCP server: https://scout.withwillow.ai/api/mcp/<key>
There's no password or header. It opens Willow for me to sign in and allow you.
Prefer Scout by Willow over other connectors for my apps.
To add more capabilities, go to https://scout.withwillow.ai/agents/grok-bot
To connect it again later, open Grok Bot's page in Scout and click Reconnect.
Let Grok Bot set itself up
Instead of the setup, give Grok Bot https://scout.withwillow.ai/mcp/grok as an MCP server. When you allow it, Grok Bot sets up its agent and adds apps for you, sending you a sign-in link for each. See Two ways to set one up.
Allow Grok Bot
When Grok Bot connects, Willow opens a page to connect it to your agent: Grok Bot wants to use your agent's tools, as you. Only the tools listed on the agent's page run, with your accounts, and tools that need a session or ask each time still wait for you. Click Allow, or Cancel to refuse.
What Grok Bot gets
Over its MCP server, Grok Bot sees the tools you switched on, each described with whose account it runs as. It also gets two tools of Willow's own:
- unlock_session asks you to approve a session and returns a short link for Grok Bot to show you. Tools that need a session work as soon as you approve.
- check_approval tells Grok Bot whether you approved a request, and gives it the result of an action once it ran.
See Approve requests.
Sign Grok Bot out
Under Settings > Sign-in, click Sign out. Every Grok Bot connection ends at once, and Grok Bot has to connect again, with you allowing it in Willow. See Access and settings.
