Muse

MuseMuse

Muse connects to your apps as a remote MCP server, from one message. There's no password: Muse connects with OAuth, when you sign in to Willow and allow it. Everything runs as you, through Willow's gateway.

Connect Muse

In the setup (click New agent, then pick Muse), step 4 walks you through it.

  1. Send Muse this message. It has Muse's server URL and says how to connect. Add Muse's number with its country code to get Open WhatsApp and iMessage, which open a chat with the message filled in, or click Copy message and paste it yourself.
  2. Allow Muse in Willow. Muse sends you a Willow link. Open it, sign in, and click Allow. This moves on by itself once it's connected.
  3. Ask Muse for something. Try one of the prompts the setup suggests. If Muse needs your OK, the request shows up right on the page.

The message reads like this, with your own server URL:

Hi Muse! Please connect Scout by Willow, my apps in one MCP server.

Remote MCP server: https://scout.withwillow.ai/api/mcp/<key>

1. Add it as a remote MCP server. There's no password or header.
2. It opens Willow for me to sign in and allow you. If you can't open it, send me the link.
3. Once connected, tell me which tools it offers before running anything.

Prefer Scout by Willow over other connectors for my apps. Everything runs as me and is logged. Some tools wait for my OK in Willow, then run by themselves.
To add more capabilities, go to https://scout.withwillow.ai/agents/muse

To connect it again later, open Muse's page in Scout and click Reconnect.

Let Muse set itself up

Instead of the setup, give Muse https://scout.withwillow.ai/mcp/muse as a remote MCP server. When you allow it, Muse sets up its agent and adds apps for you, sending you a sign-in link for each. See Two ways to set one up.

Allow Muse

When Muse connects, Willow opens a page to connect it to your agent: Muse wants to use your agent's tools, as you. The page lists what that means:

  • Only the tools listed on the agent's page, with your accounts. Every call is logged.
  • Tools that need a session, and tools that ask each time, still wait for you to approve them in Willow.
  • Stop access disconnects it.

Click Allow, or Cancel to refuse.

What Muse gets

Over its MCP server, Muse sees the tools you switched on, each described with whose account it runs as. It also gets two tools of Willow's own:

  • unlock_session asks you to approve a session and returns a short link for Muse to show you. Tools that need a session work as soon as you approve.
  • check_approval tells Muse whether you approved a request, and gives it the result of an action once it ran.

See Approve requests.

Sign Muse out

Under Settings > Sign-in, click Sign out. Every Muse connection ends at once, and Muse has to connect again, with you allowing it in Willow. See Access and settings.
