Agent Settings

Open the agent and click the Settings tab. Agents on Willow Agents have General, Instructions, Channels, Memory and Danger zone. Instinct and Grok Bot agents have General, Access, Memory and Danger zone.

General​

Profile​

  • Avatar: click Change to pick one of the avatars. Create from a photo turns a photo of a person, pet or character into an avatar. The photo is sent to Google Gemini to draw it and isn't saved. It can take up to a minute.
  • Name: up to 60 characters.
  • One-liner: a short tagline shown under the name, up to 120 characters.

Where it runs​

Move the agent between Willow Agents, Instinct and Grok Bot. See Where your agent runs.

Live​

Turn the agent on or off. A paused agent doesn't answer anywhere and doesn't run any tool. On Willow Agents, its chat page says it's paused.

Limits​

Willow Agents only. Messages per day caps how many messages the agent answers each day, across every channel. When it's reached, the agent pauses until the next day. New agents start at 100. The highest value depends on your plan.

Instructions​

Willow Agents only.

  • Instructions: what the agent does and how it behaves, in plain language. Sprout writes them when it builds the agent; edit them freely. Instructions can't be empty.
  • Conversation starters: suggested first messages shown in an empty chat. Type one and press Enter. Up to 4, of up to 120 characters each.

Channels​

Willow Agents only. Where you talk to the agent: its web chat page and Slack. Keep at least one channel on. See Chat with your agent and Slack.

Memory​

Turn on Remember across conversations and the agent keeps short notes on people's preferences and facts it learns, and reads them at the start of each chat. Everyone it talks to gets their own notes, and no one sees anyone else's. New agents start with memory on.

Under What it remembers, notes are grouped by person, with notes for everyone under Everyone.

  • Click Forget on a topic to delete it.
  • Click Forget everything to delete every note the agent saved. This can't be undone.

Turning memory off keeps the notes, so they come back if you turn it on again.

Access​

Instinct and Grok Bot only. How long the password and sessions last, a new password or link, and removing access. See Access bundles.

Danger zone​

Click Delete this agent, then Delete agent. This removes it everywhere it runs: its chat page, its memory and its Slack app, or the assistant's access. This can't be undone.
