Getting Started

Welcome to Willow! This guide will help you get started with the platform.

What is Willow?

Willow allows you to connect your AI assistants and AI agents to any internal system through MCP (Model Context Protocol). Use toolkits to easily integrate multiple MCPs in one place.

Signing In

  1. Navigate to your organization's Willow URL (e.g., https://<org>.mcp-s.com/)
  2. You'll be redirected to your SSO provider
  3. Enter your corporate credentials
  4. After authentication, you'll be redirected to the Willow home page

The Home Page

After signing in, you'll see:

  • Getting Started - Recommended toolkits for your role
  • Discover MCP Servers - Available MCP servers you can connect to

The sidebar provides access to all platform features:

  • Home - Dashboard with getting started and server discovery
  • MCP Servers - Manage your MCP server connections
  • Skills - Create and manage agent skills
  • Commands - Create and manage reusable commands
  • Toolkits - Pre-configured bundles of MCP servers, prompts, and resources

At the bottom of the sidebar:

  • Connect MCP - Get connection URLs for your AI clients
  • Add to Cursor - Quick setup for Cursor IDE
  • Dark Mode - Toggle dark/light theme
  • Admin Dashboard - Link to admin panel (if you have access)

Common Issues

Can't Sign In

Clear browser cookies:

  1. Open browser settings
  2. Clear cookies for your Willow domain and SSO provider
  3. Try signing in again

VPN Connection:

  1. Ensure you're connected to your corporate VPN
  2. Try disconnecting and reconnecting
  3. Verify you can access other internal resources

Wrong Account:

  1. Sign out of all accounts
  2. Use an incognito/private window
  3. Sign in with the correct corporate account

Account Not Provisioned:

  • Contact your IT administrator to be added to Willow
  • Ask about required approval processes

MCP Server Connection Issues

Server shows "Connect" but won't connect:

  • The server may require OAuth authentication
  • Check if you have the necessary permissions in the target service
  • Contact your administrator if the issue persists

Tools not appearing in AI client:

  • Verify the server shows as connected (green checkmark)
  • Check that the "Use" toggle is enabled for the server
  • Reconnect your AI client to Willow
